Chinese as Second Language Program Description
PE in English/Chinese for different ages
Using ball, rops, sticks etc. do floor exercixes while learn Chinese words in movement, direction, and names of object they using for class.
Chinese Class for Young Children and Parents I
Through play toys to learn Chinese words in family members, clothes, furniture , home and colors
Chinese Class for Young Children and Parents II

This class is designed for a child younger than the age of four to learn Chinese language via gym activities. Chinese games, songs and crafts are incorporated for participants to engage in while accompanied by a parent. They will learn through large-muscle gym activities such as rolling on soft mats and jumping on the tumble track. They will learn nouns from seeing the objects they refer to. Chinese numbers will also be introduced. While the child learns, the parent will practice the Chinese pronunciation system-- Pinyin. After class, we will send electronic files for participants to practice at home. Through this course, participants should be able to identify body parts, colors, family members and many action words that relate to daily life. This will help them develop language skills in both English and Chinese, allowing them to get used to thinking in another language. |

Level 1 Chinese class for elementary school

This class is designed for elementary school students. Through numerous activities, we will introduce Chinese words and sentences which relate with school life and subjects. We will increase mastery of Chinese vocabulary through games, crafts, artwork and short readings. Pronunciation will be applied as needed. After each lesson, we will send electronic files for participants to practice at home. Through this course, participants should know many words related to daily life, in addition to learning to tell some short stories and starting to think in Chinese.
Level 2 Chinese class for elementary or middle school students
This class is designed for elementary or middle school students who have at least one year of learning experience with Chinese. All classes will have some activities, songs, games and crafts. We will learn how to use Pinyin to read Chinese characters. While learning new words, they will be using them to tell short stories in Chinese and be able to use those words to describe other things. They will also learn how to use measure words in Chinese. After each lesson, we will send electronic files for participants to practice at home. Through this course, participants should be able to write Chinese characters and sentences.
Level 3 Chinese class
This class is designed for people who have at least two years of Chinese learning experience. They should have mastered Pinyin and be able to use a dictionary to learn new words. Through the course, participants should be able to read page-long readings without a problem, be able to read the newspaper and tell a more complex story.
